1. Overview of Hastelloy B Hastelloy:
Hastelloy B is a nickel-based superalloy composed of nickel, molybdenum, cobalt and other elements, with a nickel content of about 62%. Hastelloy B has a wide range of applications in the chemical, petrochemical, energy manufacturing and pollution control fields, especially in industries such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, and acetic acid.

2. Hastelloy B Hastelloy physical properties:
Density: 9.24g/cm3, melting point: 1330-1380℃.
3. Hastelloy B Hastelloy mechanical properties:
1. Hastelloy B has a tensile strength of Rm N/mm2 ≥ 690.
2. Hastelloy B Hastelloy yield strength: RP0.2N/mm2≥310.
3. Hastelloy B Hastelloy elongation: A5 %≥40.
4. Hastelloy B Hastelloy has the following characteristics:
1. Control the minimum content of iron and chromium to prevent the formation of β-phase Ni4Mo.
2. Excellent corrosion resistance to reducing environment.
3. Excellent resistance to medium concentration sulfuric acid and many non-oxidizing acids.
4. Good resistance to chloride reduction stress corrosion cracking (SCC).
5. Excellent resistance to corrosion by various organic acids.
5. Metallographic structure of Hastelloy B Hastelloy:
Hastelloy B has a face-centered cubic lattice structure. By controlling the Fe and Cr contents to a minimum, the workability, brittleness, and precipitation of Ni4Mo phase are prevented at 700-870 °C.
6. Corrosion resistance of Hastelloy B Hastelloy:
Hastelloy B has extremely low carbon and silicon content, which reduces the precipitation of carbon and other impurity phases in the heat affected zone of welding, so the weld also has sufficient corrosion resistance. Hastelloy B-2 alloy has good corrosion resistance in reducing media, such as hydrochloric acid solutions of various temperatures and concentrations. It also has good corrosion resistance in medium concentration sulfuric acid solution (or containing a certain amount of chloride ions). It can also be used in acetic and phosphoric environments. Alloy materials have the best corrosion resistance only when they are in suitable metallographic state and pure crystal structure.
